Pet Travel from the UAE to Great Britain

A dog, cat or ferret travelling non-commercially from the United Arab Emirates to Great Britain normally needs a Great Britain pet health certificate. The UAE is a listed origin for this route, so an ordinary journey does not require a rabies antibody titre solely because it starts in the UAE.

What the AED 95 service includes

  • a check of the supplied microchip and rabies-vaccination chronology;
  • minimum vaccination age, primary waiting period, boosters and validity on the intended entry date;
  • owner or authorised-person movement timing;
  • the dog-only tapeworm-treatment requirement and its 24-to-120-hour window;
  • the applicable Great Britain certificate fields; and
  • a populated official GB form for veterinary and government review and completion.

What must still be arranged in the UAE

The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment provides the veterinary health-certificate process for exporting or re-exporting live animals. Its process includes an application, payment, physical examination, laboratory tests where required and official certificate issue. Veterinary examination, professional decisions, signatures, stamps, official dates and government endorsement are not supplied by Vet Travel Docs.

You must also confirm an approved Great Britain route and current carrier acceptance. Pets arriving by air normally travel as cargo unless a published exception applies.

Other UAE destinations

Direct-air UAE-to-EU checks are available separately. The United States classifies the UAE as high risk for dog rabies, so UAE-to-US requires a substantially different CDC assessment and remains unavailable until that complete check is implemented.
