What we check
Dates and timing
We check the dates that matter: rabies vaccination, waiting periods, treatments, document validity, owner and authorised-traveller timing, and intended travel dates.
Estimated travel dates are fine. If your plans change, update your paid case and run the check again, no extra charge.
Pet travel documents
Depending on the journey, we check the information required for an EU pet passport, Animal Health Certificate, Great Britain Pet Health Certificate or another supported document.
For check-only services, your veterinarian still issues or certifies the official document.
Route and traveller requirements
We check the route rules we have validated, including approved entry routes where required and whether the pet travels with the owner or an authorised person.
Veterinary requirements
We check the information you provide about microchip identification, rabies vaccination, waiting periods and destination-specific treatments.
A useful report, not a long checklist
Your report starts with a simple summary such as:
27 checks passed
Then we show only what needs your attention:
• issues or missing information
• actions to complete before travel
• documents or evidence to carry
• important limitations the service cannot verify automatically
If there is nothing wrong, we do not fill the report with pages of successful checks.
Assessment based on your intended travel dates. Update the case if your plans change.
Check first. Pay only if we support the route.
Before asking for payment, Vet Travel Docs checks whether your origin, destination and journey type are currently supported.
If the route is not yet supported, we tell you immediately and do not offer payment.
Plans change. Your check can change too.
A paid case is not a disposable snapshot.
You can securely return to the same case, amend normal travel details such as intended dates or a supported route/carrier, and receive an updated assessment without paying again for the same pet and check.
One paid case is for one pet.
Where document preparation is included
Some services include preparation of a supported PDF or travel document for veterinary review. This is shown clearly before payment and is priced separately from check-only services.
Vet Travel Docs does not replace your veterinarian and does not guarantee carrier acceptance or border admission.
