Vet Travel Docs supports a ¥2,500 check for one personally owned dog or cat flying directly from Japan to Great Britain or any of the 27 EU Member States.
What the check covers
- microchip, rabies vaccination, age and travel-date chronology;
- owner or authorised-person movement and the non-commercial declaration;
- the destination document and, for EU entry, accepted certificate-language guidance;
- destination-specific dog tapeworm treatment; and
- the Japanese Animal Quarantine Service export-inspection pathway.
Apply to Japan’s Animal Quarantine Service for export inspection at least 14 days before the desired inspection date. The pet and original veterinary records must attend the inspection, and an Export Quarantine Certificate is required before departure.
Vet Travel Docs checks the supplied information but does not issue or endorse an official certificate, submit an application or decide border clearance.
Non-commercial boundary
Sale, adoption, rehoming, breeding-stock transfer and every other ownership transfer are excluded.
