Pet Travel from Hong Kong to Great Britain or the EU

Vet Travel Docs supports direct-air journeys for one dog or cat from Hong Kong to Great Britain or any of the 27 EU Member States.

Hong Kong to Great Britain

The HK$200 service includes the journey and document check plus a populated Great Britain Pet Health Certificate for veterinary and AFCD review and completion. The registered veterinary surgeon’s examination, signatures and AFCD official certification remain separate.

Hong Kong to the European Union

The HK$120 service is check-only. Hong Kong is listed in Annex II to EU Regulation 2026/636, so a rabies antibody titre is not required solely because the journey starts in Hong Kong. The official EU Animal Health Certificate must still be completed and officially endorsed. The traveller must use a designated travellers’ point of entry.

Dogs entering Finland, Ireland or Malta require veterinary tapeworm treatment 24 to 120 hours before entry.
